Privacy policy
Last updated: April 2025.
1. Introduction
vida-fitness.com respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy transparently describes what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it and what your rights are. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Data we collect
We collect two types of information: (a) Data you provide — your full name, email address and the content of messages sent through the contact form or newsletter sign-up. (b) Technical data collected automatically — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages visited, time spent on each page, traffic source (organic search, social media, direct access), browsing behaviour data (clicks, page scrolling) and device information. This technical data is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including services from Google and Meta.
3. How we use your data
We use the collected data to: respond to your messages and inquiries; send the newsletter if you opted in; analyse browsing behaviour to improve the site experience; display relevant advertisements through advertising partners such as Google AdSense; measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns; meet legal obligations and protect the site's legitimate interests. We do not sell your personally identifiable data to third parties.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use four categories of cookies and tracking technologies: (i) Essential cookies — required for the basic operation of the site, such as language preferences and consent. These cannot be disabled. (ii) Analytics cookies — collect data on how the site is used, such as most visited pages and session duration, via Google Analytics. (iii) Advertising cookies — used by Google AdSense to show ads based on your interests and browsing history. (iv) First-party analytics — we operate our own analytics system that records page views, session duration, referrer, UTM campaign parameters and a temporary session identifier stored in your browser's sessionStorage (automatically cleared when you close the tab). This data is stored in our own database and used only to understand how content is consumed on this site; it is never sold or shared with third parties. First-party analytics are only active when you consent to analytics cookies. You can manage your preferences at any time by clicking 'Cookie settings' in the site footer. Refusing analytics or advertising cookies will not stop ads from being shown, it will only limit their personalisation.
5. Third-party services
The site uses the following third-party services, which may independently collect browsing data: Google Analytics (Google LLC) — used to measure audience, browsing behaviour and page performance. Data is sent to and stored on Google's servers. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Google AdSense (Google LLC) — used to display ads on the site. Google may use cookies, such as the DoubleClick cookie, to personalise ads based on your interests and browsing history on other sites. You can disable ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — used to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Browsing behaviour data may be sent to Facebook and Instagram. Privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy/. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies, over which we have no direct control.
6. Data retention
Contact form data is retained for the time needed to respond to your request and for a maximum of 24 months. Newsletter data is retained while you remain subscribed; after unsubscribing, your data is removed within 30 days. Technical data collected by Google Analytics is retained for 14 months by default, as per the platform's settings. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email in the privacy contact section of this policy.
7. Your rights
You have the right to: confirm whether we process your data; access the data we hold about you; request correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; request anonymisation, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data; request data portability to another provider; obtain information about with whom we share your data; withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond to your request within 15 business days.
8. Privacy contact
For questions about your data privacy, access requests, corrections or deletions, please contact us at: contato@vida-fitness.com
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We recommend that you review this page periodically to stay informed.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA. We may collect identifiers (e.g., name, email, IP address), internet or other electronic network activity (e.g., browsing data, cookies), and similar information through our contact form, cookies, analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and advertising partners (e.g., Google AdSense). We use this data to operate the site, analyze usage, and deliver relevant ads. We may "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA (e.g., for interest-based advertising through partners like Google). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to delete your personal information, the right to correct inaccuracies, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise your rights or opt out of sale/sharing, contact us at the email on this site or use the link below to manage your preferences.
